1. I already have an email address that all of my friends know. What’s the easiest way to switch to your service and a new email address ?
Changing your email address is very easy! There are two simple methods:
    Method 1:configure your old email to forward all incoming messages to your new family email. You may need to create a special filter for it in certain email services. Should you encounter problems, refer to the help section of your old email provider.
    Method 2: You can configure your family email to fetch messages from your old email accounts. Additional information about this process can be found at: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=21288

2. How secure is my family email? Is my confidential information protected?
You messages are stored on Google’s servers and transferred to your browser using a secure connection. We are just domain administrators in the Google Apps service and have no access to your emails. As administrators, we can perform the following additional actions: reset your password and delete your account. Therefore, there is no way we can read your password and secretly get access to your email messages.

3. Is it free or do I have to pay for it?
You can create and use your family email address on domains we’ve already purchased for three months free of charge. However, after the initial trial period, you will need to subscribe to our service for a year. Such domains have a $0 value on the registration page and have the word trial on the green tick mark. For domains that we haven’t purchased yet, creation of a family address is a paid service. But you will never regret spending this money on your family address – you will thoroughly enjoy using it and seeing people’s interest. You can check out our yearly subscription prices for emails in all the supported domains on the Price page.
4. What am I paying for?
    You are paying for registering an email address that matches your last name (a family domain) and having your email account configured for you. Thanks to the fact that several users can register their addresses on the same domain, we can minimize our prices. We have to pay for your family domain each year, that’s why we require a yearly subscription. Email services are provided by the Provider free of charge. At the moment, we use Google Inc. as our email provider. Please take time to read their license agreement:

5. What should I do if I lost my temporary password after registration or haven’t received it at all?
You can use the Forgot Password feature. Your temporary password will be replaced by a different one.

6. Why do some email addresses take so long to be configured?
If you are registering an email that we’ve already purchased, registration will take several seconds only (you will see a “trial” label on the green tick mark opposite such domain names). However, if this domain hasn’t been purchased yet, its configuration may take up to a day. This is caused by the low speed of domain name propagation between various DNS server. We can’t make this process faster, as it’s a peculiarity of the Internet’s domain structure.

7. How do I find out the expiration date of my email account?
You can use the email subscription prolongation form. Enter your family email and click the "Check" button. Your subscription expiration date will be displayed below.

8. I received the following message when trying to register an email account: "You already have a trial (free) email address". What should I do?
Users can have only one free email account. If you already have a free email account, the service will not allow you to create another one. However, if you don’t have any free accounts and still see this warning, please contact our technical service.

9. How do I create a blog on my family domain?
Prior to creating a blog, you will have to create a family email account using our service and then use the contact form on our site or write to mailto:support@family-address.com. Please include the following in your message:

  • Your family email;
  • Whether you’d like to create a new blog or already have a blog that you’d like to transfer to your family domain (specify its address and the name of the blogging service you use);
  • Other requests.
